The Poets’ Walk is a guidebook with a difference. Colin Speakman’s evocative six part poem and Dorian Speakman’s fine landscape photographs celebrate the history and culture of Burley in Wharfedale, a former mill village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, some 12 miles from Leeds.

Four poets from the past – including well known Yorkshire writer-walker A.J. Brown, who all lived in the village, are all recalled.

Rather than detailed walking instructions, the reader is given six OS Grid references to key viewpoints, linked by public path on the 4½ mile (7km) circular walk.
